MIR

An educational platform for living knowledge.

Knowledge passed directly from one person to another.

Project Philosophy

The Loss of Unique Knowledge

Carriers of unique knowledge (aged 70–80) are passing away without leaving a way to transfer their experience. Modern platforms sell content rather than create connections between generations. In the age of AI-generated information, there is no environment for passing on lived experience rather than learned knowledge.

Connection Between Generations

Knowledge gained through real-life experience is better transferred through direct communication than through books, lectures, or recorded courses. That is why we are creating an environment where experience becomes a living dialogue between generations.

Knowledge Transfer Between Generations

The platform brings together open heritage and educational programs. Everyone can freely explore living archives — video conversations and their transcripts. For those who want to study topics in greater depth and apply knowledge in practice, educational programs are available in various formats.

By December 31, 2026, launch the MIR living platform with at least 5+ knowledge holders.

We are creating an open space where living knowledge is freely passed from person to person, preserving the experience of generations.

Preserving is not enough. What matters is passing it on.

We provide access to living knowledge and create an environment where it continues to live and evolve.

A Global-Scale Challenge

The gap between generations and the loss of living knowledge are global challenges. Holders of unique practical knowledge (scientists, healers, and practitioners aged 70–90) are passing away worldwide without having the opportunity to transfer their experience in a form accessible to the next generation.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

The project directly contributes to four global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the UN 2030 Agenda:

SDG 4 Quality Education
SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities.
SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities.
SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals (MNIIPUiO, BRICS).

Applicability: Russia, CIS countries, BRICS (India, China, Brazil — traditions of intergenerational knowledge transfer), and the Russian-speaking diaspora.

50%+ knowledge loss
70-90 лет age of knowledge holders
95% digital communication

Not Belief — Data

The project is based on research conducted by the MIR Research Center on the influence of the environment on human development. It is built upon the ODTOE theory and the concept of Transgenerational Semantic Connectivity (TSC), which explore how life experience, values, and meanings are transmitted between generations.

From Idea to Platform

MATERiI Meeting — the birth of the MIR concept. Three scenarios, knowledge holders, and initial steps were identified.

The Project Passport was created. The Unified Platform Framework was developed. A registry of people and projects was established.

Meeting with Yuri Ivanovich — recording of the first MIR episode.

Visit to Galina (born in 1938) — documenting the knowledge of a long-lived knowledge holder.

Launch of the YouTube channel and Telegram bot with basic materials.

The first paid intensive program based on collected materials.

Choose how to stand alongside

Three ways to support MIR — financially, through knowledge, or through expertise.

Support financially

A one-time donation or regular support helps develop the platform and preserve living stories.

FAQ

MIR is an educational platform that preserves and shares living knowledge from person to person through conversations, archives, and educational programs.

We collect not retold information, but the personal experience of people who have spent decades in research, practice, and life experience. The focus here is on living dialogue, not lectures.

Anyone whose experience, research, or life journey can be valuable to future generations. Age and profession are not limitations.

You can join Living Circles, recommend a knowledge holder, support the project, or share your own story.

Yes. Living conversations and the knowledge archive are available openly as part of cultural and intellectual heritage.

Unique knowledge disappears together with its holders. MIR creates a space where this experience is preserved and made accessible to future generations.
